What is a Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) training?
The three-day Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) training of The ITAM-Unit is based on training material developed by IAITAM (International Association of Information Technology Asset Managers). During this training you will gain in-depth knowledge of the discipline of IT Asset Management (ITAM) in the broadest sense. Following the training, students take an online exam by which they can achieve the formal status of Certified IT Asset Manager.
For whom is a Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) training intended?
The IAITAM CITAM training is intended for the more experienced IT asset manager. For those who are not IT asset managers, but are interested or invested in IT asset management and would you like to learn more about it, the CITAM training has particular value as well. For example, the training also benefits managers in the field of IT, IT assets, contract management, purchasing, IT service management, change management and IT security. No specific prior IT asset management knowledge is required for this training.
What do you learn during a Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) training?
During this three-day interactive training, participants become familiar with the discipline of IT Asset Management (ITAM) in the broadest sense. The topics discussed include the strategic value of ITAM – including Software Asset Management (SAM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM), in-depth operational, legal and financial aspects, extensive best practices, ITAM and related technology, software licensing, audit defence and contract negotiations. In addition, participants gain in-depth insight into the business case behind ITAM and how to present it, the relationships between ITAM and other disciplines (such as IT Service Management, IT Security, Identity & Access Management, user provisioning and HRM) and in organizational processes around ITAM. The training follows the IAITAM 12KPA framework and is substantiated by practical examples and cases.
