THE CHALLENGE
Our primary client, a large and vital Dutch government organization, is in a crucial phase of its IAM program and is currently implementing the MidPoint IGA solution. We are looking for an experienced IAM Process & Policy Advisor to take the lead on functional design and ensure alignment with existing (and potentially revised) processes.
In this role, you are not a hands-on technician, but a strategic orchestrator who ensures that processes, policy frameworks, and technology work seamlessly together. You operate at the intersection of strategy and execution.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Implementation Oversight: You guide the external vendor in the functional delivery of the MVP (Minimum Viable Product). You monitor progress critically, assess delivered quality, and intervene firmly if the delivery falls short of agreed standards.
- Functional Design & Process Optimization: You review and design the ‘target state’ of IAM processes (especially onboarding, transitions, and offboarding) and translate this into concrete functional configuration within the MidPoint environment.
- Architectural Alignment: You assess High- and Low-Level Designs (HLD/LLD) in close collaboration with architects and ensure the necessary approvals within the applicable frameworks.
- Stakeholder Management: You act as the connecting link between the IAM program manager’s strategic vision, business needs, and vendor delivery.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? (Hard Requirements)
Given the nature of the organization and the complexity of the environment, we apply the following essential criteria:
- Language Skills: Excellent command of Dutch, both written and spoken, is required for internal stakeholder alignment and official documentation.
- Location: You must be based in the Netherlands. Candidates residing outside the Netherlands will not be considered.
- Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in Identity Governance & Administration (IGA), preferably within the (semi-)government. Holding a Rijkspas is a plus.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of IGA processes. Experience with MidPoint is preferred; contextual experience with similar enterprise tools (such as SailPoint or OneIdentity) is required.
- Personality: You are analytically sharp, quality-conscious, and possess the seniority needed to effectively steer an external vendor.
