The ITAM-Unit

IAM Process & Policy Advisor

Fulltime employment

ABOUT THE ITAM-UNIT
The ITAM-Unit is the specialist at the intersection of IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Identity & Access Management (IAM). We believe that control over IT assets is inseparably linked to knowing who has access to what. With our own ‘Body of Knowledge’ and a team of driven experts, we help complex organizations gain and maintain control. At The ITAM-Unit, you won’t stand still; knowledge sharing, quality, and personal growth are at the core of our DNA.
YOUR ROLE: ORCHESTRATOR AND KNOWLEDGE BUILDER
In this position, you will become part of our salaried team. You will start with a challenging long-term assignment at our primary client: a large, vital Dutch government organization.

Here, you play a crucial role in the transition to a new IGA strategy (based on MidPoint). You are not a hands-on technician, but the functional orchestrator who translates processes and policies into a working implementation.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
  • Primary Assignment: You guide the functional implementation of the IGA solution for our government client. You monitor the quality of the external vendor, review designs (HLD/LLD), and design the ‘target state’ for IAM processes (such as onboarding, transitions, and offboarding).
  • Broad Experience: In addition to your main project, you will contribute to shorter, strategic projects with other clients in our portfolio. This allows you to quickly build a wide network and deep expertise.
  • Portfolio Development: You actively contribute to shaping and improving The ITAM-Unit’s services and training portfolio. You use your practical experience to elevate our methodologies.
  • Become a Trainer: If you are ambitious about sharing your knowledge, we offer a path to develop into an IAM trainer, eventually delivering training independently to professionals in the field.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? (Hard Requirements)
We are looking for an analytical team player who we can coach to reach the highest level. For this position, we apply the following essential criteria:
  • Language Skills: Excellent command of Dutch, both written and spoken, is crucial for client communication and delivering training.
  • Location: You must reside in the Netherlands.
  • Experience: 2 to 4 years of relevant experience within IAM or a similarly complex IT domain. You understand the basics of Identity Governance and are ready for the next step.
  • Mindset: You are curious, willing to ask critical questions to vendors, and have the ambition to become an expert in orchestrating IAM processes.
WHAT DO WE OFFER?
  • Intensive Coaching: You will work closely with senior experts who will teach you the finer points of the field.
  • Career Path: From advisor to trainer or lead consultant; you determine the direction, we provide the support.
  • Stability & Variety: The security of a permanent contract combined with the variety of challenging projects at major Dutch and international organizations.
  • Employment Conditions: A competitive salary, excellent training opportunities, and an environment where initiative is always rewarded.
