Zowel Identity Governance & Automation (IGA) als IT Asset Management (ITAM) ondersteunen organisaties in het realiseren van een kostenbesparing en het op een effici\u00ebntie manier inzetten van IT-middelen binnen organisaties. Maar wat is de relatie tussen beide disciplines? En hoe vullen zij elkaar aan?<\/p>

Identity Governance & Automation (IGA) stelt organisaties in staat hun digitale identiteiten en IT-resources te beheren. Met IGA kunnen verschillende repeterende, arbeidsintensieve processen geautomatiseerd worden. Denk hierbij bijvoorbeeld aan het aanmaken van werknemersprofielen en het verlenen, aanpassen, intrekken en controleren van toegangsrechten. Identity Governance & Automation kan de tijd die IT- en HR-personeel aan administratieve taken besteedt aanzienlijk verkorten. Naast dat dit de druk op de IT-servicedesk vermindert, kan dit ook zorgen voor een aanzienlijke vermindering van de administratieve kosten. Op deze manier kan budget \u2013 en tijd \u2013 worden vrijgemaakt voor bijvoorbeeld digitale transformatie en innovatie.<\/p>

Door goede Identity Governance & Automation tools en processen te adopteren kunnen organisaties hun belangrijkste \u2018assets\u2019 \u2013 het personeel \u2013 te allen tijde voorzien van de juiste IT-middelen op het juiste moment. Maar ook op het gebied van IT en Software Asset Management vormt IGA een uitkomst. Binnen ITAM gaat het erom dat organisaties weten wie wanneer, hoe lang en hoe vaak toegang heeft tot welke software of clouddiensten om zo de daaraan verbonden (licentie)kosten en risico\u2019s te kunnen beheren. Identiteitsbestuur en -beheer is ook hier dus zeer belangrijk.<\/p>

Een ongecontroleerd en niet geautomatiseerd proces op het gebied van joiners, movers en leavers binnen een organisatie is de doorn in het oog van iedere IT Asset Manager. En waarom is softwarelicentiebeheer dan zo belangrijk? Omdat organisaties in Nederland makkelijk \u20ac2.000,- per IT-user per jaar uitgeven aan software en cloud abonnementen. Volgens Gartner kunnen organisaties een besparing van 30% realiseren door ITAM procesmatig goed in te regelen.<\/p>

Dat zowel Identity Governance & Automation (IGA) en IT Asset Management (ITAM) verschillende voordelen bieden voor organisaties is binnen de meeste organisaties bekend.
